The DC Rockslide committee, a chapter of the Douglas County Educational Foundation, has canceled the DC Rockslide scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2009.
Possible inclement weather and feedback from various DCSD personnel were considered in this decision. The funds raised will be donated to each school as designated at the time of registration.
Everyone will receive a T-shirt and a ribbon which will be available for pick up at your school.
Refunds are also available. If you would like a refund, please contact Tony Golden at tony.golden@dcrockslide.com. Because the T-shirts had to be purchased in advance, the amount of the refund will reflect the cost of the T-shirt.
Thank you for your support of the DC Rockslide,
DC Rockslide Committee
The Rock Slide is an annual event that students plan, train, and look forward to year after year. The students participate in healthy living challenges and training classes at their school to prepare for their run. Their teachers and school staff are there to cheer them on after months of helping them get in shape. By the time the Rock Slide arrives the kids are prepared and looking forward to a fun morning with their family and friends. The kids and their family run then come back to enjoy the awards ceremony, refreshments, and visit the booths provided by the sponsors.

The Rock Slide is focused on promoting the importance of healthy living for our children and families through this annual community event. The Rock Slide provides a unique opportunity for businesses to connect with the local schools and their families. Rock Slide proceeds are divided among all participating schools. |
|
Reach our 2500 families through the school websites, flyers in student backpacks, posters at the school, email blasts from the school, Rock Slide t-shirts, and a booth at the event. Your advertising dollars can be spent sponsoring the Rock Slide and 100% of the money goes directly back to the participating schools as a non-profit donation.
